Manchester United striker Bebe is finally ready to cut his losses and head through the Old Trafford exit door according to Goal.com.

The 22 year old arrived at the club in August 2010 from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes. His signing raised a few eyeballs amongst the footballing community as at the time the player was largely unheard of, and had failed to make a single appearance for Vitoria.

Bebe failed to make much of an impact on the first team at Old Trafford and found his opportunities largely restricted to irrelevant League Cup ties.

That prompted him to spend the second half of last season out on loan at Portuguese side Rio Ave, where he played on seventeen occasions but netted just once.

That has not prevented speculation linking him with Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon and the player has admitted it would be a dream to pull on the Sporting shirt.

Bebe stated that he believes Sporting is a club where young players are allowed to grow and feels that his development would be better served there rather than in Manchester.

The move may suit both club and player with Bebe looking unlikely to start in the United team any time soon.
