Four teams are reportedly battling it out for Swansea defender Ashley Williams according to the Daily Star.

Williams has had a fantastic season at Swansea, helping the Swans to finish in the top half of the Premier League table and also leading them to victory in the League Cup.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed however and Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Italian club Napoli are interested in landing the Welshman.

Napoli’s new boss Rafa Benitez joined the race recently, having been impressed by Williams performances against his former club Chelsea last season.

Arsenal have been interested in Williams for most of the season, along with Everton and Liverpool.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers tried to bring Williams to Anfield last season, having managed the defender during his time at Swansea.

Rodgers wasn’t able to sign Williams last summer but has always maintained an interest in his former player.

Swansea will work hard to try and keep their captain at the Liberty Stadium and will demand at least £10 million for him.

Swans boss Michael Laudrup sees Williams as a key player for the club next season as they try and maintain their position in the Premier League’s top half.
