Manchester City Ponder Move For Swansea City Striker Michu

The Sky Blues are considering a move for Spanish striker Michu.

Manchester City are plotting a move for Swansea striker Michu, with Manuel Pellegrini looking at options to replace Carlos Tevez, who left for Juventus this week, the Daily Star reports.

Swansea signed Michu for just £2 million last summer and the Spaniard went on to score 18 Premier Leagues goals for the Swans as the club managed to make it into the Premier League’s top ten.

Michu was one of last summers best signings and many clubs have taken note of this, including Manchester City.

The Sky Blues are looking to strengthen their attacking options this summer having just sold Carlos Tevez to Juventus.

The club also sold Mario Balotelli to AC Milan in January, meaning they are down to just two first team strikers in Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini could look to bring in Michu alongside another quality striker like Edinson Cavani, who is currently being tracked by a number of clubs.

City aren’t the only team who are interested in Michu, with Arsenal also monitoring the Spaniard’s situation at Swansea.

The Welsh club won’t want to let their top goal scorer leave this summer and the Spaniard signed a contract extension with them in January.
