Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts

The agent of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has denied that the player will be on his way to England this summer with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United both reported to be interested, Sky Sports reports.

The Colombian international has been linked with a move away from the San Siro during the transfer window with the Premier League duo, and Russian money bags Anzhi Makhachkala, all lining up to take a closer look.

However, the 26-year-old’s agent, Marcelo Ferreyra, has moved to play down the links elsewhere by insisting that his client wants to stay with the Italian giants.

“He wants to stay at Inter,” Ferreyra told FcInterNews. “He is happy here and wants to become a champion with those colours.

“Manchester United, Tottenham and Anzhi are not part of our plans. We are not interested in joining other clubs.

“My player wants to win with Inter. Does the club want to sell him? That is not what I’ve heard.”

And Guarin’s teammate Rodrigo Palacio has also reiterated his desire to stay with the club despite being linked to his former side, Boca Juniors.

“I’ll remain a couple of years in Italy again and then I’ll think to come back to Argentina”, Palcio told Radio Vorterix in Argentina.

“I have still a two years deal with Inter.

“I felt in a really good way at Boca, even if I had few problems at the beginning.

“In big clubs you can’t relax because you must win all games, otherwise it is a failure. What happened at Boca it’s the same as is happening at Inter.”
