Man United are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid in relation to their interest in German international Mesut Ozil according to Bild.

The 24 year old playmaker is said to have been made available by the Bernabeu side for a fee of around €50m (£42m) and given that David Moyes is yet to bring in a high profile signing this summer it’s a move that appears to interest the Old Trafford boss.

Mesut Ozil fears for his future at the Bernabeu having seen a number of talents brought in this summer with Spanish starlet Isco threatening his first team spot and Gareth Bale set to join the club there is every chance that Carlo Ancelotti will feel he can afford to cash in on the creative midfielder, not least because any move to sign the Tottenham star will probably need to see further sales made to help balance the books.

David Moyes could well do with adding some much needed creativity to his midfield and could well see Ozil as a possible replacement for Wayne Rooney, with the England man regularly linked with a move to Chelsea. The Man United boss appears keen to use the attacker in a withdrawn role behind Robin Van Persie a role that could well greatly suit the Real Madrid man.

Ozil has been a veritable assist making machine since moving to the Spanish capital, providing 63 in total over the course of the past three seasons, as well as scoring 27 goals to boot.
