North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham could lock horns over the possible signing of Real Betis starlet Alvaro Vadillo, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 18-year-old is considered one of the best up-and-coming young talents in Spain at the moment, and his playing style has been compared to that of a young Cristiano Ronaldo.

Although Arsenal fans are craving signings of established players this summer, Vadillo looks like a player who will soon be hunted down by top clubs all across Europe, and could be a good signing for the Gunners.

The winger, who became the second youngest player to appear in La Liga when he made his debut in 2011, has a minimum release fee clause of around £17million, though both clubs will be hoping to pay a little less than that for a player still raw and inexperienced.

Arsenal’s only signing of the summer so far has been another youngster, French striker Yaya Sanogo, who joined from Auxerre, though they have targeted big names such as Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez. Spurs, meanwhile, have been very active in the transfer market as they prepare for the likely departure of star player Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
