Serie A giants Napoli could pounce for Southampton midfielder Gaston Ramirez this January, as the Uruguayan is reportedly considering his future at the St Mary’s Stadium, according to the Daily Echo.
The 22-year-old signed from Bologna last summer and impressed in his debut season in the Premier League, though he is understood to be keen on a return to Serie A.
Napoli, managed by former Chelsea and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez, are keen to strengthen their squad in the middle of the season and could make Ramirez one of their top targets.
The attcking midfielder scored five goals for the Saints last term and has one strike already this season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
