West Ham United midfield player Ravel Morrison is in line to receive his first call-up to the senior England team from head coach Roy Hodgson for next month’s two friendly internationals against Chile and Germany, according to reports in the Mail on Sunday.

The exciting England Under-21 international has enjoyed an eye-catching start to the new campaign for both club and country, with Morrison scoring again for Gareth Southgate’s side in their midweek thrashing of Lithuania at Portman Road.

And now it is understood that Hodgson is set to reward the 20-year-old for his fine early-season form by giving the former Manchester United player a run-out in November’s friendlies, with an eye to taking the youngster to next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
