Anfield side keen on signing on loan Verona attacker.

Check in to Arsenal vs Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly pushing on with efforts to land highly rated Argentine Juan Iturbe according to Portuguese source O Jogo.

Brendan Rodgers may well be keen on strengthening his attack despite Liverpool’s excellent start to the season and will no doubt have been impressed by Iturbe’s displays since moving to newly promoted Serie A side Verona.

Iturbe, who has previously been likened to fellow Argentine Lionel Messi, has been loaned to Verona from FC Porto on a season-long deal.

Iturbe has netted twice in four domestic starts and is said to be on the fringes of a full senior Argentine national team cap and is a player who would very much adhere to Liverpool’s youthful transfer policy.

The adaptable starlet can play out wide or in a central striking role and is a player with a great deal of flair and certainly a talent with a promising future ahead of him.

Liverpool have been scoring regularly this term though it is worth noting that 14 of the club’s 17 Premier League goals have come from Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, and as such Rodgers may feel the addition of other possible goal-scoring options would be a sensible path to proceed on in relation to possible additions to his squad.
