Anfield custodian set for Nou Camp return.

Check in to Liverpool vs Fulham

Loaned out Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina is primed and ready to move back to Barcelona next summer in a cut-price move to replace Victor Valdes at the Nou Camp according to talkSPORT.

Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers opted to bring in Belgian Simon Mignolet from Sunderland and sent 31 year old Reina to reunite with former manager Rafa Benitez on a season long loan deal and it seems likely that the Spaniard has played his last game for the Merseyside club.

Reina left Barcelona in 2002 and may well be seen as the ideal man to take over from Valdes, who has publicly stated his intention to leave the Catalan club at the end of the season.

Pepe Reina has made 394 appearances for Liverpool and has taken well to life in Serie A, conceding just eight goals in 11 domestic league fixures and could cost Barcelona as little as £4.2m.

Barcelona are also tracking Borussia Monchengladbach youngster Marc-Andre Ter Stegen but director of football Andoni Zubizarreta is apparently leaning more towards the signing of a more experienced custodian.
