Chelsea are preparing a hopeful move to sign AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao on a loan deal according to the Daily Star.

The unsettled Colombian has been strongly linked with a move away from the principality side despite only moving to the Stade Louis II a few months ago.
The 27 year old is reportedly unhappy that he is not earning the €14m a year deal he had signed up for but is instead on around half that figure, for reasons this source does not explain.
Therefore a move away from the Ligue 1 side is perhaps plausible though one would imagine that AS Monaco would demand a hefty fee for the former Atletico Madrid man, who has netted nine goals thus far this season.
A loan move would not appear to be of huge interest in AS Monaco and Jose Mourinho may instead have to make a big money offer to sign Falcao on a permanent basis.
Chelsea’s attack have struggled this term with just five of the club’s 28 Premier League goals coming from recognized strikers.
