Fans of Vasco Da Gama and Atletico Paranaense clash amid ugly scenes.The final day of the Brazilian Championship was ruined on Sunday amid violence between supporters of Vasco Da Gama and Atletico Parananse.
Atletcio were looking to force their way into the Copa Libertadores, whilst Vasco were battling relegation and needed a win to avoid slipping through the trap door.
Due to previous incidents Atletico played the match in Joinville which has caused problems with the police not being present and security was taken on by a private firm.
And as a result, groups of Atletico hooligans attacked their Vasco counterparts and one supporter took a severe beating with the score at 1-0 to the “home” side.
The game was called off and air paramedics were called in to get the stricken fans to safety.
