West Ham Plot Ambitious Move to Sign Brazilian International to Boost Ailing Attack

Upton Park side want Valencia ace.

Check in to Manchester United vs West Ham United

West Ham’s seemingly never ending search for striking reinforcements has taken the East London club to La Liga with Sam Allardyce said to be keen on Valencia forward Jonas according to TuttoMercato.

With record signing Andy Carroll still yet to play a single minute of Premier League football this season and with the Hammers sitting just above the drop zone it seems inevitable Allardyce will look to sign a striker in January.

The Upton Park side have notched up just 13 goals in 16 Premier League fixtures and will hope to persuade Brazilian international Jonas to leave the Mestalla in January.

Such a move would be quite a coup given West Ham’s lowly position in the Premier League table though with Valencia languishing in mid-table in La Liga perhaps a move could tempt Jonas, who has scored eight goals in 12 starts in the Spanish top tier this season.

The 29 year old may harbour hopes of making it into Felipe Scolari’s 2014 World Cup finals squad but one wonders if such hopes would be better served by staying at Valencia.
