Tottenham are reportedly taking a keen interest in Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole according to the Daily Express.

The veteran left-back has been frozen out of first team action this term and will be out of contract at the end of the season and could potentially be the answer to Tottenham’s problematic left sided defensive problems.
It’s a position that the likes of Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and Kyle Naughton have all filled in this term whilst Benoit Assou-Ekotto was sent to QPR on a loan move though a move for former Arsenal man Cole would still be something of a shock.
Jose Mourinho has opted to use Cesar Azpilicueta in recent weeks and Cole is yet to enter into contract talks with the Blues and as such a move away from Stamford Bridge seems very likely.
Real Madrid and Liverpool are also said to be keen on the England international who may still have a season or two left in him.
Newly appointed White Hart Lane boss Tim Sherwood may well be ready to make such a contentious move if he believes that the 33 year old offers him a quality option to resolve something of a problem area.
