Check in to Fulham vs West Ham United

West Ham have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Everton’s Johnny Heitinga according to the Daily Mail.

The Hammers will bring in the player on January 1st following the Dutch international’s agreement on the the £1.5million still outstanding on his £65,000-a-week wages with the 30 year old Toffee’s contract set to come to a conclusion at the end of the season.

Heitinga hasn’t played a single minute of Premier League action this term and could offer West Ham the chance to add depth in a number of areas that the former Atletico Madrid man can effectively fill, be it at centre-back or in the defensive midfield position.

The tough tackler will hope that regular first team action at west Ham will aid his push for a spot in Louis van Gaal’s Dutch national team squad for the 2014 World Cup finals.
