The three popular old stars are all out of contract at the end of the season, but owner Roman Abramovic is apparently not interested in opening talks over fresh terms until Easter at the earliest.

Recently boss Jose Mourinho claimed that Terry had been outperforming all other centre backs in the Premier League this season, but that doesn’t seem to mean much to the Russian.

But it’s as you were for the club’s leading scorer Lampard, who had to wait until May 15 to pen a one-year deal to stay on into this season.

All three have played a huge part in the side’s march for success this term, making 77 appearances between them, and despite Mourinho’s target to lower the average age of the squad he has been singing the praises of former England international Terry.

“I was not expecting him to be the best centre-half in England. Not after the season he had last year. I was not expecting it,” he said.

“I would like to see him playing this way until the end of the season.”
