Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is known to be keen on the pint-sized forward, who was the subject of boos from his own fans during Juventus’s weekend win over Chievo.

The Italian international was clearly distraught with his reception when he was subbed late on and it seems inevitable that the 27 year old will leave the Turin club in the summer.

Givovinco may be tempted by a move to Liverpool, especially if the Merseyside club have secured a Champions League spot and Rodgers may see the former Parma man as an ideal outlet to link midfield and attack.

Rodgers could well be ready to offload Fabio Borini, currently on loan at Sunderland, on a permanent basis and there is surely some doubt over Iago Aspas’s future at Liverpool having looked decidedly out of his depth since moving to the Premier League last summer.

Giovinco has made just three Serie A starts this season and is at the age where he doesn’t want to be wasting away on the bench.

Sebastian Giovinco has 17 national team caps to his name.
