The Swedish international is currently on loan at Stoke City until the end of the season and faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium in the summer as there is some substantial competition for places in front of him.

The 21-year-old has already spent time out on loan with Feyenoord and Burnley in the past, and as he struggles to make an impact at the Britannia he looks set to continue his future development away from England.

Guidetti himself is keen to secure a move away from the Premier League this summer and it has now emerged that Fenerbahce are looking to offer him a deal.

“John’s had a difficult time getting in the team here, so we’re expecting that he might move on if he gets the chance,” a city insider explained.

“There’s interest from Turkey in Fenerbahce and possibly one or two other teams.

“It hasn’t really happened for him at Stoke either and a permanent move there looks unlikely at the moment.”
