Man United boss David Moyes is reportedly set to be handed a massive £200m transfer war-chest and will look to begin his summer transfer window assault with a bid for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata according to Football Direct News.

By all accounts the Bernabeu side are keen to sell the 21 year old striker to the Old Trafford outfit, confident that the Premier League title holders will outbid all other interested parties.

Morata has just over a year to run on his current contract and is said to be unhappy about his lack of first team playing time.

Whilst the Spanish Under 21 international may well have expected to be behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema in Carlo Ancelotti’s first team set-up he is unlikely to be impressed by the fact that fellow youngster Jese Rodriguez is now also ahead of him in the pecking order.

Morata has secured just one La Liga start this season but has still managed to net three times though one wonders if the impressive youngster would be happy swapping one bench for another.

David Moyes is unlikely to be looking to sell Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie or in-form England man Danny Welbeck so Morata would have his work cut out forcing his way into the first team set-up.

No doubt Moyes will be keen to conduct something of a squad shake-up after a disastrous first season as Man United boss.
