Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is today being surprisingly linked with an Emirates Stadium exit by Football Direct News.

The French international has been Arsene Wenger’s first choice striker this term, so much so that the 27 year old has at times looked exhausted this term.

Off field issues have also taken their toll but it would be something of a surprise if the Gunners were to offload the former Montpellier man.

Giroud netted 17 goals in all competitions in his first season at the North London club and has racked up 18 goals and eight assists this season and no Arsenal outfield player has seen more Premier League action than the powerful forward.

Olivier Giroud has little in the way of support this term with Nicklas Bendtner only being used in an emergency and Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott both spending large portions of the season out injured.

Speculation of an exit appears to have spread following Giroud’s ‘secret’ meeting with an agent which has led to talk of a surprise Arsenal exit.
