The Blues are in the market for a world class striker this summer as the Spaniard and Samuel Eto’o have failed to make the kind of impact that Jose Mourinho had been hoping for.

Costa has been one of Europe’s most sought after strikers this season as his goals have kept Atletico up to speed with La Liga’s two other high flyers and now a deal could be put in place to ensure that Atletico sell with out losing out.

Torres has not had a happy spell in west London and is said to be open to making a switch back home, whilst Chelsea’s other transfer targets are believed to be wanted elsewhere.

Edin Dzeko has been told that he will not be sold to another Premier League side, and is wanted in Italy by Inter Milan whilst Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata is said to be on his way to Arsenal.

However, Chelsea are hoping to command a loan fee of around £6m for Torres, but the good relations between the two clubs should help push the deal through.
