Man United are believed to have a deal in place to bring in Southampton teenager Luke Shaw according to the Sunday Mirror.

The deal will cost the Old Trafford side a massive £27m as David Moyes looks to spend big to replace veteran French international Patrice Evra.

The 32 year old’s contract expires this summer and it seems likely he will leave and return to his native France and as such would leave a massive void for Moyes to fill.

In recent matches Dutchman Alexander Buttner has been used in the role and has been a fairly consistent performer but seemingly not the man Moyes wants for the role on a full-time basis.

Shaw has matured into an excellent full-back and his form this term has been key to Mauricio Pochettino’s excellent campaign.

Luke Shaw has been a virtual ever present, starting 29 of Southampton’s 32 Premier League fixtures and earning a first senior national team call-up.

Indeed the youngster may well make it into Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup finals squad.
