Man United have earmarked a move to bring in Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti to replace David Moyes in charge of the Old Trafford club according to the Daily Star.

Under-fire Scot Moyes may have secured a much needed 4-1 win over Aston Villa this weekend but the former Everton manager’s future in charge of Man United is still very much in the balance and a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League may well prove the last straw.

However one wonders if former Chelsea boss Ancelotti would be thinking about leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Italian has done well in his first season in charge with La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles still very much in their grasp and an exciting brand of attacking football that has pleased the club’s fan-base.

One can well see what Man United would see in Ancelotti, who has won domestic titles in three different countries and has a good level of Premier League experience.

The 54 year old spent two years at Stamford Bridge, winning a Premier League and FA Cup double in his first campaign before being harshly sacked after the following campaign during which Chelsea finished as Premier League runners-up.
