Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul is reportedly keen on securing a controversial move to local rivals Arsenal this summer according to the Daily Star.

The 28 year old Frenchman, who happens to be good friends with perennially crocked midfielder Abou Diaby, will be out of contract in the summer and is keen to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Kaboul is into his second spell at Tottenham but has suffered with injuries but could be seen by Wenger as a back-up option to his current first choice centre-back pair of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny, with Thomas Vermaelen seemingly not a player who wants to continue to warm the bench for much longer.

The White Hart Lane faithful will not be pleased if Kaboul does make the switch to Arsenal but if he is not offered a new Spurs deal one can not blame him for looking elsewhere for a living.

That said, when called upon this term Kaboul has looked well off the pace and has made a series of alarming errors, the most recent being a comical own goal against Liverpool last weekend.

Kaboul has made a total of six Premier League starts this term and in that period Tottenham have conceded a whopping 17 goals.
