Man United will look to use bit-part player Javier Hernandez as bait in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin according to Football Direct News.

The Old Trafford side are said to have a strong relationship with the San Siro side following the Italian giants move to sign Nemanja Vidic, with full-back Patrice Evra linked with a move to follow the Serbian to Milan and David Moyes will hope to lure Colombian Guarin into moving in the opposite direction.

27 year old battler Guarin has apparently fallen out with Inter Milan fans and may push to leave Inter Milan despite only recently signing a new contract.

25 year old Mexican Hernandez would jump at the chance of a move to Inter Milan having seen his career stagnate at Man United, the prolific forward managing just four Premier League starts this season.

Chicharito has fallen behind Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and Danny Welbeck in the Man United pecking order but when called upon the striker is usually very reliable.

Hernandez has scored 58 goals in 146 appearances of which 65 were from the bench.

It’s a sensible move on Moyes’s part to use an unwanted striker to help land a fresh midfield option as that’s certainly an area Man United could do with addressing when the transfer window re-opens.
