The Croatian goal machine was on target again during his side’s second leg Champions League tie against Manchester united this week, bagging himself one of the goals in a 3-1 victory.

Mandzukic’s current deal with the Bavarian giants is set to expire in 2016, but Bayern are looking to extend that deal beyond then.

However, there is no guarantee that the 27-year-old will sign the new contract as some of Europes top clubs, such as Arsenal and Chelsea, are closely following developments in Munich.

Last month it was reported that the player’s agent, Ivan Cvjetkovic, flew into London to meet with representatives of the two Premier League sides to hold discussions over a possible move.

But Mandzukic is thought to prefer a move to Italian side Juventus after they made their interest in his signature known.

Mandzukic is the top goalscorer for the German champions this season in all competitions, netting 25 times in 46 appearances.
