The Japanese international had an average first campaign at Old Trafford but has seen his first team chances limited under David Moyes with the former Borussia Dortmund man managing just ten Premier League starts this term.

A number of sides are said to be keen on luring the Kobe born attacker away from Man United with Schalke, Wolfsburg Inter Milan and Roma all set to vie AC Milan in pursuit of Kagawa.

Moyes may well feel he can afford to cash-in on Kagawa as he looks to put his stamp on the squad he inherited from Sir Alex Ferguson but one does wonder how much of the £17m they paid for the 25 year old in the summer of 2012 they will seek to recoup.

In recent weeks Kagawa has looked more assured and has arguably been played out of position a fair bit by Moyes though his return of just three assists and no goals in 25 appearances in all competitions would appear to suggest that the Man United manager is right to consider the player as only a back-up option.
