Anfield star to win top honour.

Check in to Liverpool vs Chelsea

The Sunday People claim that Luis Suarez has, as expected, won the PFA Footballer of the Year award for 2013/14.

Though the winners are not set to be announced until Sunday night this source is confident enough to reveal the way the votes have been cast and if they are indeed correct it will not be a huge surprise given just how impressive the Uruguayan has been this term.

As well as scoring an astonishing 30 goals in 30 Premier League appearances the 27 year old is also the leading assist maker in the top tier.

Liverpool face Chelsea on Sunday afternoon and following the fixture the entire Anfield squad is said to be set to attend the PFA awards ceremony, whilst Jose Mourinho will not allow his squad to attend.

If Suarez does indeed win he will be the first Liverpool player to clinch the award since Steven Gerrard back in 2005/06 and will become the first South American to have ever picked up the prestigious gong.
