Tottenham are looking to bring in Galatasaray playmaker Wesley Sneijder, a move that Football Direct News claims will become more realistic if current Ajax boss Frank de Boer takes over at White Hart Lane this summer.

De Boer is one of a host of names who are in the running to replace Tim Sherwood as Spurs boss, with chairman Daniel Levy likely to ring the changes after his side’s failure to secure that all important top four finish.

Sneijder has been a big hit since moving to Galatasaray back in January 2013, scoring 18 goals in 55 appearances though is perhaps likely to be more open to leaving the Türk Telekom Arena given that Roberto Mancini’s side lost their Super Lig titles to arch rivals Fenerbahce.

The 29 year old is still capable of making a real impact in the Premier League and after high-profile stints in Holland, Spain and Italy the Dutch international could be keen on a chance to shine in the English top tier.

One imagines that the likes of Man United and Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho known to be good friends with his former Inter Milan charge, could also be keen on the talented flair player.
