The couple already own a luxury £5.5m flat in the heart of London’s Belgravia, which Fabregas purchased from Seamaan’s former partner Elie Taktouk back in 2013.

He had been a £30m target for both Manchester side’s, but linked up with the Stamford Bridge outfit this week penning a five-year deal.

His move to Chelsea sufficiently angered fans of his former club Arsenal, who took to several social media platforms to express their displease at the news.

Arsene Wenger reportedly had the chance to bring the 27-year-old back to the club, but decided against it, provoking the ire of Gunners fans everywhere.

However, City and United fans can feel equally hard done by after it emerged that he vetoed a move north at the behest of his partner.

Manchester United had been on his trail since last summer when David Moyes had shown an initial interest, and new manager Louis Van Gaal was set to follow up that interest by making a bid of his own.
