Arsenal Legend Ian Wright Returns Home From Brazil After Family Are Held Up By Knife Wielding Maniacs

Arsenal legend and ITV pundit Ian Wright was forced to fly home from Brazil on Thursday morning having learned that his family were targeted by knife toting burglars.

According to The Sun: “Four men were believed to have broken into the former England star’s home in north-west London and “marched” his wife Nancy from room to room at knifepoint.”

Fellow reports add that “he 50-year-old had got on the first available flight home after learning the gang ‘held a blade to Nancy’s throat’.”

“Police are investigating the incident, during which the burglars are believed to have taken Nancy, 39, to one bedroom and the couple’s two girls to another room before escaping with a number of their possessions,” The Independent added.

Wright has yet to comment other than post a single tweet that read; “You won’t get away with it”.

Wright had been working for ITV as a roving reporter around the streets of Brazil gaining the reactions of fans following the games, and his inclusion had proved popular amongst viewers.
