Chelsea Goalkeeper Would Only Consider Move To ‘Two Or Three’ Of World’s Biggest Clubs

Agent of Blues star hints at big move. The agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says his client is happy at Stamford Bridge and would only consider leaving for two or three of the biggest clubs in the world, according to talkSPORT.

The Czech Republic international has long been the undisputed number one for Chelsea since he first joined the club back in 2004, but his first-team place could be under threat next season after the return from loan of promising youngster Thibaut Courtois.

The 22-year-old Belgian has just spent the last three seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid, and has caught the eye in La Liga with some superb displays, helping them to a shock success as they won La Liga in 2013/14.

Still, Cech does not fear for his place in Jose Mourinho’s side, and despite links with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco, his agent Viktor Kolar has suggested that he is unlikely to leave Stamford Bridge in this year’s transfer window.

“We have not been given any signals that Petr would be made available [for transfer],” he said. “If that was the case, though, you have to realise that Petr is one of the world’s top goalkeepers and has a certain salary. There are not many clubs who could afford to sign him.”

He added: “If he were to leave, we’re discussing two or three clubs in the world. The situation has developed in a way, of course, but for now he is staying at Chelsea.”

Cech has two years left on his current contract, but would surely not put up with being a backup for too long if he were to lose his place to Courtois.
