Liverpool have loaned young right-back Andre Wisdom to West Brom for the season, confirms the Guardian.
The England Under-21 international did well on loan at Derby in the Championship last term, and now Liverpool want him to test his mettle in the top flight.
Wisdom is equally as comfortable on the right of the back four as at centre-back, and prides himself on his pace and power.
West Brom’s manager Alan Irvine was delighted to announce the capture of the talented young defender.
“I’m delighted to welcome Andre to the club. I’ve spoken to Brendan Rodgers, who I’ve known for a very long time and who I trust implicitly. He said Andre would do a good job for us. That was reassuring,” said the new Baggies boss.
“You want to find out about the person. You can see the player but you want to find out what they are like as a person. Brendan spoke very highly about him.”
