Magpies winger gets overexcited in New Zealand.
Former Newcastle United forward Shola Ameobi (above left) left the Magpies this summer after giving over a decade of loyal service.
The Nigeria international was affectionately known on Tyneside as The Mackem Slayer, on account of scoring seven goals against fierce local rivals Sunderland.
Younger brother Sammy Ameobi is still on the books at St James’ Park and he did some slaying of his own recently.
The 22-year-old winger visited Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson’s studio, where he posed for a photo while pretending to kill a troll.
He uploaded the below image to Instagram, along with the message: “We got invited to Peter Jacksons studio yesterday, I may have gotten a little over excited #LOTR #epic”.
Newcastle are currently in New Zealand preparing for a preseason friendly against Wellington Phoenix on Saturday.
