(Video) Another Steven Gerrard Slip Sets Up Manchester City Goal In Friendly Draw

Liverpool skipper gets it wrong again. After a nightmare few months with a slip against Chelsea gifting Demba Ba a costly goal in Liverpool’s title challenge, followed by his backwards header finding Luis Suarez to score the winner against England at the World Cup, Steven Gerrard has gifted an opponent a goal again.

The Reds captain slipped in his own penalty area this time, with the ball deflecting off him into the path of Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic, allowing the Montenegro international to give his side the lead in a 2-2 pre-season friendly draw.

There was some redemption for Gerrard as his side won the game on penalties, but this latest error makes it a bad start to the new campaign for him.
