New United boss Louis van Gaal has been linked with making moves for a number of the players he helped guide to the semi-finals of this summer’s World Cup while in charge of the Dutch national team.

And it now seems that he could be in with a very strong chance of landing midfielder-cum-defender Blind this summer after Witschge dropped a hint that he could be on his way in the coming weeks.

“I think Daley Blind will be leaving soon. I have a feeling,” he was quoted as saying by Dutch media outlet Heldenonline.

“He has been training by himself. I think he has done that, because there’s something going on.”

However, reports close to the club are suggesting that United will have to cough up a fee in the region of £17m if they hope to prize him away, and with Barcelona also sniffing around the Dutch Footballer of the Year then they may have to act fast.
