Arsenal look as though they are ready to sell another first team star with German forward Lukas Podolski the subject of genuine interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray according to the Daily Star.

The 29 year old started just 14 Premier League fixtures last season and whilst the former Koln man did spend time out injured he was also at times left out of Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven and that lack of action led to a less prominent role in Germany’s 2014 World Cup triumph which may lead to the experienced attacker being keen on a fresh challenge.
Podolski may well find his first team under threat following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean being able to play in both wide or central striking roles, and a move to Istanbul may tempt the Arsenal man.
Though still very much a fan favourite Podolski has been a moderate success since moving to the Premier League in July 2012, netting 19 goals in 53 Premier League appearances, and one wonders how much Arsenal would demand for a player who cost them £11m two years ago.
