Manager Arsene Wenger has named his starting XI for Arsenal’s 2014-15 Premier League opener against Crystal Palace.

Three of Arsenal’s summer signings – Calum Chambers, Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez – will begin the game at the Emirates Stadium.

Chambers partners Laurent Koscielny in the centre of defence, while Debuchy is deployed in his favoured position of right-back.

Alexis is part of a three-man trio in attacking midfield, behind lone striker Yaya Sanogo, who has been preferred to Olivier Giroud.

Sanogo is making his ninth Premier League appearance – his first start. The 21-year-old netted four goals in a 5-1 win over Benfica during preseason.

Joel Campbell is among Arsenal’s substitutes. The Costa Rica international could make his Premier League debut later in the game.

Fraizer Campbell, Martin Kelly and Brede Hangeland make their Palace bows.

Campbell starts up front alongside Marouane Chamakh, who faces his former club.

Arsenal XI: Szczesny; Debuchy, Koscielny, Chambers, Gibbs; Arteta, Wilshere; Sanchez, Ramsey, Cazorla; Sanogo.

Subs: Martinez, Monreal, Coquelin, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Campbell, Giroud.

Crystal Palace XI: Speroni; Kelly, Dann, Hangeland, Ward; Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley; Bolasie, Chamakh, Campbell.

Subs: Hennessey, Delaney, McCarthy, O’Keefe, Bannan, Gayle, Murray.
