The 26 year old Brazilian has struggled with form and fitness in recent seasons but even so a move to Turf Moor seems hard to believe though the former FC Porto man doesn’t appear to have much of a future at Old Trafford.

Anderson has featured in recent fixtures against MK Dons and Burnley but only did so due to boss Louis van Gaal being without a number of alternative options with the likes Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera being unavailable.

Man United paid a massive £27m to sign Anderson back in July 2007 but it’s fair say the player hasn’t come anywhere near justifying that outlay and his loan move to Fiorentina last term failed to secure a permanent switch to the Serie A side.

A move to Burnley would seemingly be on a loan basis and could act as a shop window for Anderson and would offer some much needed regular first team action for the midfielder.
