The Potters are keen to continue strengthening their squad after a good summer in the transfer market, and manager Mark Hughes has reportedly set his sights on young winger Adama Traore.

The 18-year-old, a product of Barca’s La Masia youth academy, is widely regarded as one of the most promising youngsters coming through at the club at the moment, and has also been watched by the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in recent times.

Traore would likely move to Stoke on loan in a bid to gain first-team experience, following in the footsteps of team-mate Gerard Deulofeu, who spent last season on loan with Everton in the Premier League before returning to the Nou Camp.

Having spent time with Barcelona in his days as a player, Stoke boss Hughes is using his contacts with the Catalan giants well, and would no doubt be landing a quality player and superb prospect if he could succeed in bringing Traore to the Britannia Stadium this January.
