Upton Park side chase Swiss international.

Check in to Hull City vs West Ham United

Despite having brought in a number of striking additions this summer it appears West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is preparing a fresh bid for yet another forward according to CalcioMercato.

The Upton Park side will look to lure FC Basel ace Marco Streller, with the Swiss international perhaps open to a move to the Premier League having spent the past at the St. Jakob-Park club.

England man Andy Carroll is out with a long term injury though West Ham have signed Enner Valencia, Mauro Zarate and Diafra Sakho to boost an attack that also includes Carlton Cole and Ricardo Vaz Te.

West Ham have managed four goals in their opening three Premier League matches so are perhaps not in such a desperate need of reinforcements, that said 33 year old Streller is an experienced campaigner who could well offer Allardyce a strong option in the final third.
