Fresh from a nerve-wracking 2-1 win over West Ham at the weekend, Daley Blind posted this image of himself reading and replying to fanmail and signing photos for his fans.

As one reply to the tweet points out, with his boyish good-looks the versatile midfielder looks more like a member of “One Direction” than a footballer. Louis Van Gaal, however, did not pay £14m for Blind’s dreamy blue eyes alone, and will be hoping that it is the midfielder’s performances that are really generating the fan-mail in future.
