Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is being tipped to leave the club on a permanent deal next summer, but is purely on loan at Real Madrid to be put in the shop window, according to Spanish source Fichajes.net.

The Mexican international has struggled to break into the starting lineup at Old Trafford in recent times, with manager Louis van Gaal deciding to offload him this summer to make way for new signing Radamel Falcao in attack.

Hernandez is on a season-long deal at Madrid and has impressed so far, but it seems unlikely that he will complete a permanent transfer to the Bernabeu, with Spanish sources tipping him to move elsewhere.

It is not yet clear what the 26-year-old’s next destination will be, but United hope that a year with a big team such as Real will help them find buyers for him next summer, after they struggled to sell him this time round.

Hernandez has previously been linked with the likes of Juventus and Valencia, though these rumours never amounted to anything and the club loaned him out instead, with the view to selling him at the next available opportunity.
