Ramsey had initially been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a hamstring injury suffered in Arsenal’s derby draw with Tottenham earlier this month.

But the 23-year-old is set to make a surprise return to full training on Monday after Arsene Wenger revealed that he could also feature in the club’s Champions League clash with Belgian side Anderlecht on Wednesday.

“Ramsey will be back in full training on Monday and will be in the squad for Anderlecht,” said Wenger ahead of his side’s meeting with Hull City this weekend.

However, this weekend’s clash with Hull will come too soon for the Welsh international, his return to fitness is well ahead of schedule.

The news will also be welcomed by national team boss Chris Coleman, who had to do without the player for Wales’ two crucial Euro 2016 qualifiers against Cyprus and Bosnia.
