A video of the hotel in which Messi stayed 14 years ago has surfaced online.
The hype in Spain surrounding the 10th anniversary of Lionel Messi’s debut for FC Barcelona has reached crazy new levels.
A feature on the Spanish league’s website features this video from their Youtube channel, based around the hotel in which Messi spent his first night in Barcelona upon arriving with his dad from Argentina 14 years ago.
In the ridiculous video they track down the room, he stayed in, compare a photo of him with the spot where it was taken, and interview a member of the hotel’s staff, all without a trace of irony.
As one of the witty commentators points out: “don’t we get to see the toilet little Messi was using?”
