The 25 year old Moroccan was the subject of a withering attack by boss Harry Redknapp following QPR’s defeat to Liverpool, despite the fact Taarabt was not involved in said match an has only managed a grand total of 24 minutes of Premier League action this season.

Redknapp accused Taarabt of being overweight and questioned his professionalism which in turn led to the player’s retaliatory response and seemingly a likely Loftus Road exit.

Taarabt spent time on loan at the San Siro last term and was fairly impressive and QPR had demanded £7m from the Serie A side over the summer but may not accept considerably less to secure a quick sale.

Last term Taarabt netted four goals in 14 appearances with AC Milan.
