The Red Devils have recently been linked strongly with a move for the former Tottenham Hotspur star, who only just completed a world-record £85m move to the Bernabeu last summer.

It has been suggested that Bale could lose his place in the starting lineup at Real this season, with Carlo Ancelotti showing a preference for the in-form Spanish starlet Isco, while summer signing James Rodriguez has also provided more competition for places in the team’s attacking midfield.

United invested heavily in some big-name transfers over the summer, snapping up Argentine winger Angel Di Maria from Real, but they look set to fail in any approach for Bale in the near future.

It is now claimed that the 25-year-old is firmly in Ancelotti’s plans this season as the Italian tactician plans to make the most of his superb squad and rotate the Welshman with Isco, Rodriguez and others.

Bale has notched up a healthy five goals and four assists in eleven appearances for Madrid so far this season.
