The German international has been attracting plenty of interest in recent times after establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the world during his time with Dortmund.

However, his recent injury problems look to have put off the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich in pursuing a deal for the 25-year-old, who could be available on a cut-price deal next summer.

Reus is set to have a release clause of £20m come into effect at the end of this season, and there should still be a long queue of clubs scrambling to snap him up when he does make the expected move away from Dortmund.

Indeed, the likes of Liverpool, United and Arsenal will now be in a stronger position to land Reus ahead of some fierce competition, though Atletico Madrid could also be strong contenders to win the race for his signature.

Reus has six goals and three assists in eleven appearances for Dortmund this season.
