United looking to secure deal for Zakaria Bakkali.
Manchester United could be set to secure an eye-catching bosman signing when the transfer window reopens in January, report the Mail, with 18 year-old winger Zakaria Bakkali very much on the Red Devils’ shopping list ahead of the expiry of his PSV Eindhoven contract next summer.
Despite the fact that Bakkali is rated as one of the most exciting teenage talents in world football, PSV are taking a hardline approach with the 18 year-old and have demoted him to their Jong PSV reserve side due to the fact that he has refused to consider pennings a new deal with the club.
This would allow any team from across Europe to open talks with Bakkali from the 1st of January ahead of a free transfer next summer and, despite rumours linking Atletico Madrid with a move for the player, it now appears that United are willing to move for the player.
Known for his incredible close control and ability to surge beyond players with a turn of pace, Bakkali would be one for the future at Old Trafford but is also capable of stepping into the first team as soon as he arrives, if United do decide to move forwards with a deal.
