Reds misfit to make Serie A return.

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is reportedly keen on a reunion with his former striker Mario Balotelli and will try to sign him from Liverpool this January, according to the Daily Star.

The Italian forward has been highly disappointing at Anfield this season ever since his £16m summer move from AC Milan, and it could now be that he will return for a second spell at their city rivals Inter Milan.

Balotelli has also played for Mancini at Manchester City, and while the two have enjoyed a somewhat frosty relationship in the past, it seems that the newly appointed San Siro boss is ready to work with the 24-year-old again.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool would in fact be ready to offload Balotelli so soon after signing him, but after no Premier League goals for the club in nearly half a season, there’s no doubt his future at the club must be under serious doubt as both his performances and attitude look well below what is expected of a player at this level.
